Newborn Chicks
My friend teaches sixth grade science and has had 20+ eggs in an incubator in her classroom for a month. All 20 chicks were born on Friday, when her students had off school, and my friend had to bring them home with her over the weekend. You could hear all of them peeping from far away. They were really fun to watch, a fascinating group dynamic.
Here they are on Friday night, on their first day on earth, outside their shells.
